NATURE GARDENS

by Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County

The Nature Gardens is an ever-changing exhibit, full of life. Step outside and explore these extensive gardens, which include hundreds of different kinds of plants from around the world as well as native to California. Every plant was chosen to provide habitat for wildlife, and it’s working! Any time of year, all sorts of animals, from butterflies to birds, bees, squirrels and even fish are here to discover and observe.

Visitors can play in the Get Dirty Zone, look for hummingbirds in the Pollinator Garden, search the pond for dragonflies and damselflies, take a gardening class at the Edible Garden, or enjoy an informative tour with a Museum interpreter.
